But there are differences in working principle and functionality between the two. How to easily distinguish between a matrix switcher and a large-screen splicer?
1. Differences in principle
1.)The matrix is to switch the output of multiple input signals to multiple display devices, and generally speaking, the number of input signals is greater than the number of output signals.
2)The large-screen splicing processor divides a complete video signal into N blocks and assigns them to N display units (such as LED, LCD, DLP, PDP), and realizes the display of input video on the logic large screen spliced by multiple display units. 2. Functional differences
1) Because of the difference in working principle, the function of the two is different. The matrix can only be responsible for the switching of signals, and cannot be processed or effected. The large-screen splicing processor is very powerful, with matrix function, and can also realize arbitrary windowing, roaming, superimposing, scene saving and rotation.
2) The functions of matrix and large-screen splicing processors are different, and the roles they play in system integration engineering are also different. Users can choose according to their needs, and the two can also be jointly controlled.
In real engineering, how to choose a matrix switcher? There are still some tricks to choosing the right matrix.
1. Confirm whether to assign or switch signals
1) Generally speaking, the application of converting one input signal into multiple output signals is to distribute the signal, and what is needed is the distributor.
2) If you choose one output or multiple outputs for multiple input signals, you should choose a switcher or matrix switcher.
2. Confirm the selection of matrix signals
1) If it's an audio signal format (A), select the Audio Matrix Switcher.
2) If it is a video signal format (V), select a video matrix switcher.
3)If it's an AV mixed-signal format, choose an AV matrix switcher.
4) If it's a computer display signal format (VGA), choose a VGA matrix switcher.
5) If it is a network digital signal, choose a network video matrix switcher.
3. Confirm the selection of matrix size
The choice of matrix size, in short, is what is the input and output of the matrix, this in the design scheme, the number of signal sources is relatively easy to determine, see how many signal sources, the matrix input number scale is determined.
For example, for example, a small intelligent conference room, there are 16 computers, and the video content of the computer needs to be displayed on 16 large screens, according to the above selected tips, first of all, you can determine that this is the need for signal switching, and then the computer is generally VGA signal, and the large screen also has this corresponding interface, the signal and interface type of the matrix can be set as HDMI matrix, and then it depends on the amount of input and output: 16 computers, 16 screens.
